Although Don is a serious artist, some of his work leans toward the
lighter side, exposing the artist's lively sense of humor. Such is
the case with his "Chick Series" . He places baby chicks in unusual
situations and with the sense of humor and a play on words, comes up
with an equally unusual and descriptive title bringing a smile to the
viewer, no matter what the age. The "Marble Series" is another lighthearted
look at one of a child's favorite games back when things were simple.

Don Grzybowski's art exemplifies his dedication to, and skill in the
medium of pastel, although he is not limited to that media. His style
can vary from loose and sketchy, even impressionistic, to an appearance
of very fine detail. Whichever style he uses, he draws the viewer into
an intimate relationship with the painting, creating a feeling of involvement.
