Tom was born December 31, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama. Tom has had a
life-long love with art, and has always known that painting was his destiny.

Honored in 1989 by the state of Alabama for his artistic accomplishments,
his artistic career has been both interesting and varied. At the age of 16,
Tom was the youngest full-time art student at Miami Artist School in Miami,
Florida. In 19966, Tom was a Combat Artist in Vietnam and spent 18 months
recording the war; in 1971, Tom came to Colorado permanently to paint nature,
its beauty and serenity in hopes that future generations may enjoy Western
life as Tom views it.
